Key Features

Supports both client and server side of HTTP protocol.
Supports both client and server Web-Sockets out-of-the-box and avoids Callback Hell.
Provides Web-server with middleware and pluggable routing.

Getting started

Client

To get something from the web:

import aiohttp import asyncio

async def main():

  async with aiohttp.ClientSession() as session:
      async with session.get('http://python.org') as response:

          print("Status:", response.status)
          print("Content-type:", response.headers['content-type'])

          html = await response.text()
          print("Body:", html[:15], "...")

asyncio.run(main())

This prints:

Server

An example using a simple server:
